OUR 1st LADY
Evangelist Cynthia K. Payne
Lady Cynthia Payne is a preacher, wife, mother, mentor, prayer warrior,
evangelist, and an anointed psalmist. Not only is she a gift to Pastor
Payne, but also a gift to Bethel Pentecostal Church in Seguin. A jewel
who labors in the vineyard with her husband, at the same time displays
the epitome of strength and exemplifies the spirit of being a helpmeet
(Genesis 2:18). Lady Payne truly loves God’s people. She’s graced
with humility and is known for helping individuals to stay Christ-focused
with a non-judgmental approach.
Lady Payne was born in Ft. Huachuca, Arizona and raised from the age
of 9 in Tucson, Arizona after her dad retired from the army.

In 1986 while stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany, the Payne’s

attended Newborn Ministries where Bishop Frank A. Cuomo was the

Pastor, Lady Payne was active in the choir, and she taught

Children’s Sunday school, worked in the book store and served as
secretary to the Pastor.

In June of 1989, the Payne family then moved to Yokota AFB in
Japan, where the Lord impressed upon Pastor Payne to start
-
Apostolic Ministries. Lady Payne worked alongside her husband
until it was time to relocate.

In July 1993, the Payne’s were reassigned to Aviano AFB in Italy, and they attended Greater Rock Apostolic Church where Bishop Michael Franklin was the Pastor. There, Lady Payne was the Choir Director, over the Youth Department and served as Administrative Assistant to the Pastor. In addition, she worked alongside the Pastor and First Lady of Greater Rock to help organize the ECN conferences.

In September of 1995, with the leading of the Lord, the Payne’s moved back to San Antonio, Texas and returned to their home church Greater Faith Temple Apostolic Church (GFTAC). During this time, the late Suffragan Bishop Horace M. Young was called home, and Pastor Douglas Thompson was installed as the pastor of (GFTAC). Under Pastor Thompson, Lady Payne served on the praise team and choir, taught Adult Sunday School which earned the #1 Class Achievement.

After helping Bishop Franklin establish Christ Ministries International Church in 2003, the Lord led the Payne’s to join the ministry full time. Lady Payne was over the music ministry, taught the women’s break out session and serve as secretary and Executive Assistant to the Pastor.

On June the 18th, 2008 the Payne’s were installed at Bethel Pentecostal Church as their Pastor and First Lady. Lady Payne is truly a servant for the Lord.

Also, she and her husband, Pastor Payne share the joy of parenting four children; Amos, Eric Jr. (deceased), Crystal and Hannah and the wonderful additions to the Payne family, their grandchildren; Adriana, Amos Jr., Aniya, Ah’Layleiyanah, Naiemah, Nevaeh, Sophia, and Zora.
